Thank you for your interest in home birth and my services as your care provider. Whether you are new to the idea of a home birth or have been blessed with the opportunity to enjoy another one, I hope you find some of the information you are looking for, here.
Because I believe good midwifery care revolves around the uniqueness of you and your family, much of your individualized prenatal care will be just that. Together, we will acknowledge the normalcy of your pregnancy, respect the changes that are occurring, and proceed with goals that unify safety and satisfaction. If you’ve had prior services under the midwifery model, you know to expect prenatal care that is nothing short of thorough and enjoyable!
Just as a woman’s heart knows how and when to pump, her lungs to inhale, and her hand to pull back from fire, she knows when and how to give birth.

When you choose to have a midwife for your labor and birth experience, you are encouraged to eat and drink, move around freely, find relief in a birth tub, and deliver wherever and in whatever position you find comfortable. When laboring mothers are given the space and opportunity to listen to their bodies without restriction to timelines, interventions are rarely necessary. When interventions are this rare, so are the problems that often accompany them. In the event that a problem does occur, midwives are skilled and equipped to handle most urgent situations while still remaining at home.
I am here to provide you with the most current and appropriate information so you and your family can make educated and informed decisions every step of the way. Your body, your baby, your birth!
I serve the greater areas and beyond of Bakersfield, Lake Isabella, Tehachapi, Ridgecrest, Rosamond, Lancaster, Palmdale, Green Valley, Pearblossom, Little Rock, and Pinon Hills. If your location is too far outside of my service area, call and I will be happy to refer you to a midwife who does cover your area.
Please feel free to call me with any questions that you may have - I look forward to getting to know you and your family!
